How buying from abroad works

  1. Shortlist by video call

    Tell us your budget and goals. A consultant walks you through matching projects, prices and payment plans on a WhatsApp or Zoom call at a time that suits your time zone.

  2. Live video site visit

    We take you round the plot or home on a live video call: beacons, access roads, neighbourhood and amenities. Family or a trusted friend in Kenya is welcome to visit in person too.

  3. Verify the documents

    We share the title or documentation details for the project so your own advocate can run an official search before you commit. We encourage independent verification.

  4. Reserve and sign remotely

    Reserve your plot online with an M-Pesa deposit, or by bank transfer. Sale agreements can be signed electronically or through an advocate, depending on the project.

  5. Pay safely from abroad

    Pay only to the official Luxe Homes company accounts: bank transfer (SWIFT), M-Pesa or a regulated money-transfer service. Every payment is receipted and visible in your online account.

  6. Track progress and receive your title

    Follow payments, documents and title progress in your Luxe Homes buyer account. Documents can be collected by an appointed representative or held for you.

Fraud targeting the diaspora is real. These rules protect you, whoever you buy from.

  • Never pay into a personal account. Luxe Homes only accepts payment to official company accounts, confirmed in writing.
  • Ask for the title number and run an official search (eCitizen / Ardhisasa) through your advocate.
  • Insist on a written sale agreement before paying the balance.
  • If you appoint someone in Kenya to act for you, use a registered power of attorney prepared by an advocate.
  • Keep every receipt. Your buyer account keeps a copy of all payments and documents.

Can a Kenyan living abroad buy land in Kenya?

Yes. Kenyan citizens can buy and own freehold land in Kenya wherever they live. The whole process can be handled remotely, with an advocate or appointed representative for any steps that need someone in person.

Can foreigners buy land in Kenya?

Under the Constitution, non-citizens can hold land on leasehold (up to 99 years) but not freehold. Ask us which projects and documentation suit your situation, and confirm with your advocate.

How do I pay from abroad?

By international bank transfer (SWIFT) to the company account, M-Pesa (including from mobile-money and remittance services that pay into M-Pesa), or a regulated money-transfer service. We confirm account details in writing before you pay.

Do I need to travel to Kenya?

No. Viewings can be done by live video call, agreements signed through an advocate or electronically where the project allows, and documents collected by your representative.

What is a power of attorney and do I need one?

It is a legal document that lets someone you trust sign or collect documents for you in Kenya. It is optional but helpful. It should be prepared by an advocate and registered.
